Organizational, not unlike personal, maturity may be viewed as an awareness and active practice of ideas like cooperation, teamwork, optimization, and continuous-improvement.  A focus on these ideas yields a balanced and flexible organization that may readily change its relationship to its self or surrounding environment at any time.  It may also reverse such changes readily.

Staff competency levels are high while their openness to being adaptive and trained is equally elevated.  Defensiveness is unnecessary as both feedback and change is seen as a benefit.  Hierarchies are a non-sequitur in such an organization having little to no relevance.  Coordination points replace what would have been leadership roles in less fluid structural paradigms.  Just as a mature person has learned to disinherit the limitations of their childish ego-existence, a mature organization exists within no limiting self-definition.  A mature organization constantly evolves its benefit to the environment it serves.
